Incoming University of Rio Grande freshmen Zane Robinson from London, Ohio started his school year out right. He is the recipient of the first Fraternal Order Of Archon Family Scholarship. The $1000 award is a new scholarship administered directly by the Association and open to family of Archon alumni in good standing and attending the University of Rio Grande.

Zane is the grandson of Bill Holt 70’ and Madeline Holt, who also attended URG. Both are retired educators from the Madison Plane School District and operate a 100-acre farm in Madison County, Ohio.

Zane is a 2017 graduate of West Jefferson High School where he played football, baseball, participated in student council and 4H and was elected to the National Honor Society.

“I am very much looking forward to my time at Rio Grande”, Zane said. “Rio obviously had a very positive effect on my grandparents, and I would like to experience some of that same magic.”
