The festivities begin on Friday Nov.17th and continue through the 18th. All former Homecoming Royalty are invited to participation in our Homecoming Parade & Cookout on Friday, and be recognized at our Men’s Basketball Game that same evening prior the 2017 Homecoming Queen & King crowning. We know Archon has had numerous kings in years past and some have even married queens. There is a link to the Alumni page on the Rio website to register: http://www.rio.edu/alumni/Former-Homecoming-QueenKing-Registration.cfm.
And the fun continues on into the weekend starting at 11:00 AM the university is planning the 3rd annual tailgate party and many other activities including a golf tournament, campus tours, a soccer game (Rio Red Storm are nationally ranked 3rd) the link and list of activities can be found at http://www.rio.edu/alumni/Homecoming.cfm
If you can’t make it to anything else, please plan to attend the “tailgate party” on Saturday starting at 11 AM. Archon Alumni will award the “Best Greek Alumni Trophy” to the Greek fraternity or sorority with the most in attendance at this “tailgate party”. Last year’s award went to the Chio’s Athena sorority who beat us by 1 alumni. We must win back our trophy, which we were the first winners of. It’s all in good Greek fun and camaraderie. Please make plans to attend and meet up with old Rio friends and Archon brothers. Again, please check out the whole schedule of events at http://www.rio.edu/alumni/Homecoming.cfm
Also, don’t worry about missing the OSU football game; we’ve got that covered! After the “tailgate party”, we will all meet up in the Ron Glover Athletic Booster Room overlooking the Newt Oliver Arena in Lyne Center for more food, & drinks and to watch the game on big screen 72” television.
Amaque,
